Our client is in search of a Junior Accounts Administrator to join their team based in Naas. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience within a well established organisation. While this role offers training, a keen interest in advancing within the field of finance is essential.

Responsibilities: 

  • Digitizing various documents onto the Trax system for accessibility through Insight.
  • Managing reception duties.
  • Timely invoicing of customers and dispatching invoices in the preferred format (mail, email, or customer portal).
  • Processing sales orders, including receiving orders via calls, email, or EDI, and entering this data into the accounting system.
  • Coordinating with production departments to ensure orders are fulfilled punctually and completely.
  • Communicating with hauliers to arrange timely collection and delivery of goods as per customer instructions.
  • Handling dispatch paperwork from each dispatch location.
  • Collaborating with the customs section to ensure accurate documentation accompanies international shipments.
  • Supporting credit control tasks by maintaining up-to-date customer portals and identifying any outstanding invoices awaiting approval.
  • Working alongside accounts payable to reconcile purchase orders with receipt dockets and invoices.
  • Identifying and addressing any discrepancies in quantities or pricing between invoices and receipts, liaising with managers and suppliers as needed to prevent payment delays.
  • Recording bank transactions on debtors and creditors ledgers and allocating them to appropriate documents during holiday cover periods.
  • Contributing to and identifying areas for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gathering necessary information for grant applications.

Experience/Skills: 

  • Demonstrated aptitude and interest in finance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient telephone etiquette.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and keyboard skills.
  • Prior experience in a busy office environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Experience in FMCG environment would be beneficial.

Compensation:

The salary on offer for this position is EUR 25,000.
