Company description
The Echo started in Tallaght some 38 years ago and over that time has built a solid reputation for the delivery of quality news that reflects all aspects of life across the communities we serve, with four editions covering Tallaght, Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Lucan published each week.
We are the only paid for, local newspaper in Dublin and we work hard to cover the issues that matter to you, with many of our stories fuelling debate and bringing about change.
We give a voice to communities and, alongside reporting on issues that affect our readers, we also positively promote communities and all of the achievements and successes that happens at grass roots level.
As a small, family-owned business, we are also a strong supporter of local business and work alongside advertisers in
Alongside news, each edition of The Echo also features individual sections on business, property, lifestyle and jobs, training and recruitment – all of which are filled with locally sourced, relevant content.
We also have weekly, comprehensive coverage on local sporting individuals and clubs in our nine-page sport section, with our award-winning sports team also working hard to recognise sporting achievements through the annual Echo Amateur Sports Awards.
In recent years, we have complemented our weekly newspaper, which is out every Thursday, with our website, Echo.ie, and are active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Like our newspaper, our online content is self-generated, unique and specific to our communities.
We have experienced substantial growth across our online platforms in the past two years and hope that with our readers’ continued support that The Echo will continue to grow as it approaches its 40th year.
The Echo is based in the Enterprise Centre on Main Road, Tallaght, and we also have an office in the Civic Centre in Ballyfermot, which opens every Friday from 10am to 4pm.
If you have a story to share from the Tallaght, Clondalkin, Lucan and Ballyfermot areas, we’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for your continued support,
The Echo team.
